Complete digital cable switchover by December 2013: Trai

MUMBAI: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has set sights on 31 December 2013 as the sunset date for a complete shift from analogue to digital cable, a target that most industry observers feel is impossible to meet in the wake of massive fund requirements and current chaos in the sector.

AWR Hindi moves to 11685 to avoid SLBC

From 28th July 2010, Adventist World Radio (KSDA) has moved from 11905 to 11685 kHz at 1530 - 1600 UTC in Hindi to avoid co-channel interference from Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corpoartion.

Besides uninterrupted music, radio channels in Delhi would be playing a very important role during the Commonwealth Games. For tourists and athletes, and much for the general public, the Delhi Police has decided to rope in seven radio channels in the Capital to disseminate information about the Games tournaments, general alerts, traffic situation and diversions during the October 3-14 event.
