TWR's global leadership unanimously decided to wind down operations and end broadcasts on Guam by Oct. 31, 2025, to use relay stations in future for shortwave broadcasts.

KTWR mid-season schedule changes
Due to requests for later broadcasts, improved propagation, and the addition of a program, KTWR is changing its DRM broadcast schedule effective 3rd July, 2022.

KTWR announces expansion of India DRM block
KTWR will stop its computer-generated Tamil experimental broadcasts on 15200kHz on 26th Sept'21 (last Sunday of September).
Starting in October '21, the 15200kHz Sunday broadcasts will start at 0957 UTC. KTWR will air programs in Tamil and other Indian languages, they have not nailed down exactly how the other languages will be scheduled, but it is likely that Tamil will start each week. Likely other languages include Malayalam, Kannada, and maybe Hindi. All programs will be human-generated instead of the current AI-generated audio.
The existing English block on 15200kHz will continue as before. Both blocks will be on 13800 kHz in B21.

KTWR DRM test broadcasts in Tamil language
KTWR (Trans World Radio) from Guam is going to air some short test DRM broadcasts in the Tamil language each Sunday for the next six weeks. This will be just before KTWR's regular DRM block for India. It will be on 15200 kHz at 1014-1026 UTC at 90 kW. The beam heading will be at 285 degrees from Guam, so Sri Lanka and the southern half of India will get the strongest signals in South Asia.

KTWR Special DRM Broadcast week September 6-11 for Indian listeners
Listen to DRM tests everyday this week !
This is your chance to try out your DRM reception capabilities.
KTWR will be conducting daily test DRM broadcasts and each day we will be testing different DRM modes of transmission.
This broadcast will be on 15200 kHz in the 19 meter band directed toward listeners in India.

KTWR Transmitter Outage
KTWR DRM Listeners,
One of KTWR's three transmitters is down. We will be unable to continue our DRM testing on Wednesday 11995 to China, Thursday 7500 to Japan, and Sunday 13800 to India until we receive parts. We are hoping to have all three transmitters up and continue our normal B19 DRM schedule by Wednesday, 6 November.

KTWR DRM broadcast schedule changes
Based on comments received from listeners, KTWR has made following changes in its DRM broadcast schedule :

11995kHz 1026-1056UTC Wednesday broadcast to China will be unchanged.

KTWR Guam to start regular DRM transmissions
KTWR is about to start regular DRM broadcasts to four different areas. There will be broadcasts one day per week to each of four areas starting 5 August 2019. They will be working with the content server parameters to come up with the best compromise settings for each area. Each week will have different settings. KTWR will really appreciate your feedback for as many weeks as possible. Your assistance will ultimately help give your fellow listeners the best possible reception in the long run. For now, all programs will be in English.

Titus SDR announces a ready for production Titus II multi standard digital radio receiver
Titus SDR, PantronX, Jasmin-Infotech, TWR, and the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS have teamed up to make Titus II a complete media solution utilizing worldwide engineering in the USA, Germany, India, and Asia.
Titus II, the world's first consumer Software Defined Radio (SDR) digital receiver, is a highly innovative breakthrough platform supporting for the first time true multi-standard radio reception with DRM (AM & VHF bands), DAB(+) and core data applications.
These features are based on a custom Android tablet platform, which features multi-point touch, WiFi/Bluetooth and stereo sound.
Titus II units will be soon available as a stand-alone product from Titus SDR, Inc., and from selected OEMs. As a module, it serves as the full-featured basis for third-party product development
Titus II unit is the team product of Titus SDR addressing the global market, of PantronX providing the platform and RF expertise, and of Fraunhofer IIS enabling the digital and analog radio features.
Titus II receiver features include:
- DRM in the AM bands (MW, SW, LW) and VHF bands (FM-band, VHF band-I, VHF band-III) with latest xHE-AAC audio codec.
- DAB Classic/DAB+ (VHF band-III).
- FM stereo with RDS (Service Signaling).
- AM with AMSS (AM Signaling Service).
- Integrated service list management and service selection.
- DRM/DAB Data Apps: Text Messages, Dynamic Label/DL+, Journaline, (Categorized) Slideshow, EPG, Transparent File Transmission (e.g., for educational services), etc.
- Remote Radio Hotspot: Built-in WiFi hotspot feature, which allows any mobile device with an HTML5 web browser to connect to the Titus II via Wi-Fi, select radio services, listening to aud (HTML5 audio streaming) and accessing all the DRM/DAB data apps.
- Recording feature and Archiving interface to select existing recordings for playback.
