National Workshop on "Quick & Effective Communication platforms for Disaster Management"

A two day National Workshop on "Quick & Effective Communication platformsfor Disaster Management" is being organized by the Department of Electronicsand Communication Engineering, Lakireddy Bali Reddy College of Engineering, Mylavaram, Krishna District during 17-18, December 2009. A cluster of eminent professionals from the Govt. organizations will deliverthe lectures during the programme.
The objective of the workshop is :
- To provide common platform to share views, knowledge and educate / peopleaware in the field of disaster communications.
- To aware the concepts of transceivers
- To explore the design technique of antenna used for disaster communication
- To provide Hands-on-training using sophisticated equipment.
Eligibility : Faculty of Engineering Colleges & students of BTech ECE,EEE,EIE,CSE and IT branches from Universities / Engineering colleges, institutions/ R & Dorganizations.
- To aware the concepts of transceivers
- Be an emergency radio operator
- Quality for search and Rescue communication
- Talk to the international space station
- Use IRLP to talk to Antarctica and other countries
- Join a community emergency program
- Experience radio direction finding- Practice moon bounce communication
- Just talk to friends worldwide
- Have unique callsign of your interest- Using echolink and connect to internet
- Training to get a licence from the Govt. of India valid worldwide
Registration Fee For faculty: Rs. 400/- per participant
For students : Rs. 200/- per participant
DD to be taken in favor of CPDM 09, payable at Mylavaram, Krishna Dist. Accommodation will be provided on prior request.
