Syndicates content to US based Asian FM

BIG 92.7 FM, India’s No.1 FM Network has joined hands with none other than Asian FM the largest and only Station of its kind in the United States, dedicated to serving and promoting the South Asian community. As part of the alliance, BIG 92.7 FM will syndicate content to Asian FM which will be in the form of non-music content. The content will be heard across major cities of the US and will begin to be aired from September 1, 2007.
Radio had been the main source of entertainment for most NRI’s before they migrated to the US. Over the past decade, Indian TV has found a place in the NRI households, however, radio, which was a trustworthy and proved medium for the South Asian community, took a long time to find its foothold. With Asian FM’s launch, that void was filled with a mix of news, discussions on local and national issues and contemporary and classical programs. The coming together of the ‘Titans’ will bring Asian FM closer to the pulse of India.
As part of the agreement, BIG 92.7 FM will give Asian FM non-music content. The content will be largely in Hinglish.
The content will be spread across the week covering the pegs of devotional, humor, romance, television, Bollywood, health and of course the Top 30 countdown. With the Asian FM programs are designed to cater to all sections of the community in English and Hindi
