RTI German test transmission from Tamsui, Taiwan

Radio Taiwan International plans to broadcast its German-language program again this year from its transmitter in Tamsui. 
RTI will broadcast 10-minute test programs on Saturday, June 28, at the following times and frequencies:

Test broadcasts: on 28 June 2025 (Saturday)

15145 kHz (17:00-17:10 UTC)
11995 kHz (17:15-17:25 UTC)
11995 kHz (17:30-17:40 UTC)
9550 kHz   (17:45-17:55 UTC)

We ask you to observe the test broadcasts and report your reception observations to RTI: Email: deutsch@rti.org.tw
From the frequencies mentioned above, 2 frequencies are selected for direct broadcasts.

Official broadcast dates:
(Half an hour on one frequency from 17:00-17:30 UTC, half an hour on the second frequency from 17:30-18:00 UTC):

RTI French tests from Tamsui

The French service of Radio Taiwan International is pleased to inform you that during the month of August 2025, we will be conducting a direct broadcast from the Tamsui transmission centre in northern Taiwan to Europe and North Africa.

In order to best prepare for this French-language radio activity, a test broadcast will be conducted on Sunday, June 29, on shortwave, at the following times and frequencies:

15145 kHz (325°), 17:00-17:10 UTC
11995 kHz (325°), 17:15-17:25 UTC 
11995 kHz (325°), 17:30-17:40 UTC
9550  kHz (315°), 17:45-17:55 UTC

Your listening reports on these 10-minute segment tests will help us identify the two optimal frequencies for the 30-minute broadcast of "Live from Tamsui" in August under the best listening conditions possible.

The program for this French-language radio activity will be broadcast on Short Waves every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from August 1 to August 31. The frequencies and schedules will be communicated to you after the test broadcast on June 29.

A special QSL card is created for all listening reports that you send to us by mail or email to the French service at  fren@rti.org.tw , both for the test broadcast and for the broadcast in the upcoming month of August.

Indian Army for India's First Villages - Connecting Hearts through the Voice of the Mountains

General Upendra Dwivedi, inaugurated 'Ibex Tarana' – Community Radio Station (88.4 MHz) at #Jyotirmath. The station has been dedicated to the people of the Garhwal region, with the aim of serving as a powerful medium for community empowerment and regional development.

This unique initiative is a testament to the enduring commitment of #IndianArmy towards connecting and upliftment of remote border communities in India's first villages. 'Ibex Tarana' will amplify local voices, celebrate Garhwal's rich cultural heritage, facilitate information dissemination for locals as well as tourists and promote community participation in matters of regional interest.

New NGA-601 DRM/AM/FM Receiver

TWR's global leadership unanimously decided to wind down operations and end broadcasts on Guam by Oct. 31, 2025, to use relay stations in future for shortwave broadcasts.

Revamp of Akashvani Chennai FM Rainbow Channel - 101.4 MHz

Over the years FM Rainbow 101.4 Mhz of Akashvani, Chennai has been airing listener friendly programmes and proposes to continue this tradition in future too. In consonance with this, FM Rainbow is coming out with a revamped broadcast schedule from 9th June 2025. 

To address the interests of various categories of listeners, the schedule will include programmes like Rush Hour Rainbow (for the listeners on the move), Rainbow Rap, Get Set Go, Hi Snehidiye (programme for ladies), Rainbow Bioscope (Tamil Film Soundtrack), Rainbow Melodies, Fun Pannalaama (Can we indulge in some fun?), Rainbow Chatbox, etc., during the daytime. During the night time there will  be  Tamil programmes like Rainbow Rewind (Retro songs), Kaatrin Mozhi (Whispering Tunes), Neengaadha Reengaram (Enchanting Melodies), lnnisai lravu (Music  Night), etc.,
