RTI French tests from Tamsui

The French service of Radio Taiwan International is pleased to inform you that during the month of August 2025, we will be conducting a direct broadcast from the Tamsui transmission centre in northern Taiwan to Europe and North Africa.

In order to best prepare for this French-language radio activity, a test broadcast will be conducted on Sunday, June 29, on shortwave, at the following times and frequencies:

15145 kHz (325°), 17:00-17:10 UTC
11995 kHz (325°), 17:15-17:25 UTC
11995 kHz (325°), 17:30-17:40 UTC
9550  kHz (315°), 17:45-17:55 UTC

Your listening reports on these 10-minute segment tests will help us identify the two optimal frequencies for the 30-minute broadcast of "Live from Tamsui" in August under the best listening conditions possible.

The program for this French-language radio activity will be broadcast on Short Waves every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from August 1 to August 31. The frequencies and schedules will be communicated to you after the test broadcast on June 29.

A special QSL card is created for all listening reports that you send to us by mail or email to the French service at  fren@rti.org.tw , both for the test broadcast and for the broadcast in the upcoming month of August.
