RTI German language special transmissions from Tamsui transmitter site, Taiwan

This year too, RTI is broadcasting its German-language program directly from the Tamsui broadcasting station in northern Taiwan on several days:
RTI will be broadcasting 10-minute test broadcasts on Saturday, July 6th, 2024 at the following times and frequencies.

Broadcast dates and frequencies:

Test broadcasts: on July 6, 2024 (Saturday)

1700-1710 UTC on 11995 kHz
1730-1740 UTC on 9545 kHz
1745-1755 UTC on 7250 kHz

From the above 3 frequencies, 2 frequencies are selected for the direct broadcasts.

The official broadcast dates for the German-language program are:
(Half an hour on one frequency 17:00-17:30 UTC, half an hour on the second frequency 17:30-18:00 UTC):

Akashvani North Eastern Service revamps its programmes

Akashvani North Eastern Service, formerly known as All India Radio, North Eastern Service, established in 1990 in Shillong, connects the 8 North Eastern States through diverse programmes. Since its inception, it has fostered harmony among the North Eastern communities through a blend of news, music, and spoken word in various languages and tribes. The programmes are constantly evolving to meet listener demands.

The North Eastern Service will be revamping its programmes starting June 15, 2024, catering to all age groups in the North East with talks, interviews, features, and music. Fixed timings and days have been allotted to programmes for children (every Sunday at 1pm), youth (Wednesdays at 6:45pm), women(Saturdays at 1pm), senior citizens (Mondays at 1:30pm)and labourers (Fridays at 9:30pm). Snippets from NE (daily at 7:30am), Success stories, Start up of the month (4th Saturday of every month)and Listeners feedback (1st Sunday of the month @2:30pm in Hindi and 2nd Tuesday of the month at 8:35am in English) are also being introduced, to engage a wider audience.

Tune in to Akashvani North Eastern Service daily from 6 am to 10:30 pm IST on FM 100.1 MHz, "Newsonair" mobile app, or DTH to be a part of our programmes.

We look forward to any feedback from our listeners and well wishers. Furthermore, we welcome scriptwriters for our spoken word programmes and artists who sing in any language/dialect of the North East including western music. The songs may be modern, folk or devotional etc.

Radio Free Asia DRM Tests

Radio Free Asia is conducting DRM tests towards China from 11th to 16th June 2024.

Tests are scheduled at 2100-2200 UTC on 11700 kHz ( In DRM Mode).

Created by Congress in 1994 and incorporated in 1996, RFA broadcasts in Burmese, Cantonese, Khmer, Korean to North Korea, Lao, Mandarin Chinese, Vietnamese, Tibetan (including Uke, Amdo, and Kham dialects), and Uyghur. RFA strives for accuracy, balance, and fairness in our editorial content. As a 'surrogate' broadcaster, RFA provides news and commentary specific to each of our target countries, acting as the free press these countries lack. RFA broadcasts only in local languages and dialects, and most of broadcasts comprise news of specific local interest. Revised schedule of "Voice of China" DRM test tranmission

"Voice of China"(CNR 1), 6030(Beijing), 7360(Qiqihar), 9420(Qiqihar), 9870(Qiqihar), 11695(Dongfang) kHz frequencies will be no longer used from June 1, 2024. After 1st June, 2024. 

3 irregular new frequencies 6180(Beijing 30kW 0deg), 15760(Qiqihar 30kW 225deg), 21530(Dongfang 30kW 341deg)kHz will be added.

The whole test schedule will be as follows. Power all 30kW.
