EU acknowledges DAB and DRM but remains neutral

In response to the letter addressed on 19 December by AMARC Europe - World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters - on the impact on local and community radio of the adoption of a single standard for digital radio, the European Union stresses that currently there is no common policy policy on radio broadcasting.

Scientists have demonstrated a way to mold radio waves into spirals that could allow multiple radio stations to broadcast at the same frequency. Two waves with different shapes can carry different information without overlapping or interfering with each other.
