VOA is dropping Morning Bengali b'cast

With effect from 1st January 2010 VOA is dropping morning Bengali b'cast at 0130-0200 hrs on 11500 and 15205 kHz. Also plan to change the evening b'cast timings in line with the Day Light Saving Time in Bangladesh.

VOA Frequency Changes

New Freq for VOA Bengali Evening

Due to cochannel interference VOA Bengali service is to use 7405 kHz(from Thailand) at 1600-1700 hrs replacing 7435 kHz w.e.f 28th December 2009

Recent Frequency changes from VOA

Effective 12th December 2009 VOA in English :

1500-1600 hrs on 9310(ex-11525 via Philippines)
1500-1600 hrs on 11525(ex-13735 via Sri Lanka)

Effective 12th December 2009 VOA in Bangla:

1600-1700 hrs on 6000(ex-11500 via Sri Lanka)

New timings for VOA Urdu Service

Effective 1st November Pakistan will go back to normal time ie. UTC+5.00 hrs and VOA URDU SERVICE will use the following schedule:

MW 972 1539 kHz is available at 1400-0200 hrs instead of 1300-0100 hrs.

SW service 0100-0200 UTC (ex 0000-0100) on 9520 (Sri Lanka) 9765 (Thailand) kHz.

SW service 1400-1500 UTC (ex 1300-1400) on 7440 (Thailand) 9390(Germany) kHz.
