RTI "Top 10" Taiwan, cross-strait, and international news stories contest

Radio Taiwan International is inviting listeners and web users all over the world to select this year's "Top 10" Taiwan, cross-strait, and international news stories. Participants will have a chance to win one of great prizes such as smartphones, tablet computers and more just by voting for the news story that they think is most important

How to participate
Click to select anywhere from three to ten stories from each category that you think were the most important this year.

Prizes
There are more than 100 prizes, such as smartphones, tablet computers, MP3 players, retro-style radios, CD cases, jade book marks, and more!

Notes
* Each participant is eligible for only one prize. Any individual found to be intentionally using software to vote an excess number of times will be barred from participating.
* The winners will be chosen at random by computer and then sent notification via email. Each prize winner must then send his or her personal information to the event organizer via email within ten days of receiving the notification. Failure to do so will result in the winner's disqualification from prize collection. Radio Taiwan International will ensure that winners' personal information will not be misused in anyway, in accordance with relevant laws.
* Each prize will be sent to the address provided by the relevant winner.
Any winner who sends incomplete or inaccurate personal information will forfeit their rights to collect the prize. Radio Taiwan International will not resend any prize for any reason.
* Prizes may not be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for cash. The model and other specifics of each prize will be at Radio Taiwan International's discretion; said specifics will not be subject to the descriptions posted on the event's website.
* Radio Taiwan International has the right to terminate or modify this event, its prizes, and any related items at any time. In the event of any dispute or unaddressed item of business, any rules or interpretations offered by Radio Taiwan International will prevail.

List of winners
Winners will be selected at random within ten days of the last day of voting. The list of winners will be posted on the website.

Dates: March 1, 2011 to May 30, 2011

How to Participate:
1. Record your best wishes.
2 .MP3 is preferable although cassette tape or CD recordings are acceptable.
3. Your recording must include "I am (your name) from (your country). Best wishes for the ROC's centenary.
The entry should be less than one minute.
4. Email your MP3 file to english100@rti.org.tw . You can also send a CD or cassette tape to Radio Taiwan International, P. O. Box, 123-199, Taipei 11199, Taiwan.
5. You must provide us with your name and mailing address so that we can process your entry.

Lucky Draw:
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of a lucky draw to be held on June 15, 2011 at RTI's headquarters in Taipei.

Listen to RTI for a chance to win a RTI T-Shirt

Purpose
Radio Taiwan International (RTI) is giving away a limited number of t-shirts to our listeners around the world to thank you for your support of the radio station.

How to enter
To enter for a chance to win a t-shirt, you can send us an email or a reception report about the reception condition in your part of the world. RTI will send you a Qualified Shortwave Listener (QSL) card along with a contest entry card. Return the contest entry card back to RTI with your name and mailing address. There is no limit to the number of entries listeners can send. Photocopies of the card, however, will not be accepted.

Deadline for receiving QSL card and contest entry card Send us an email that is time-stamped or a reception report that is postmarked between April 1, 2010 and June 30, 2010 to receive the QSL card and the contest entry card.

Deadline for mailing contest entry card
Mail your contest entry card to RTI with a postmark between April 1, 2010 and August 15, 2010 to enter the drawing.

RTI's mailing address is P.O. Box 123-199, Taipei 11199, Taiwan.

Indian listeners can send their entries to :
RTI, PO BOX 4914, S.J.ENCLAVE, NEW DELHI 110029.

Contest drawing date
The drawing will be held on September 1, 2010.

Prizes
RTI will give away 400 t-shirts. Multiple entries will increase your chance of winning, but each winner is only eligible to receive one t-shirt regardless of the number of winning entries that individual has submitted.

The list of winners will be announced on RTI's programs and posted on RTI's Web site.
