10th Global Shortwave Coordination Conference

10th Global Shortwave Coordination Conference
20-24 January 2014, Kuala Lumpur
 
The 10th Global Shortwave Coordination Conference will be held in Kuala Lumpur from 20 to 24 January 2014. Participants of the three coordination groups, representing around 90% of the shortwave in the world, will take part in this conference to coordinate shortwave frequency schedules for the A-14 (summer) season.

NASB and Continental Electronics Host First HFCC Conference in USA

Dallas, Texas, USA - Continental Electronics Corporation (CEC) and the National Association of Shortwave Broadcasters (NASB) hosted the first-ever High Frequency Coordination Conference (HFCC) in the United States. The meeting, which was a joint HFCC and ASBU (Arab States Broadcasting Union) Conference, took place at the Sheraton Dallas North Hotel September 12-16, 2011.

ABU shortwave broadcasters meeting in Kuala Lumpur today renewed their support for the creation of a monitoring network to assess the reach and quality of their broadcasts.

HFCC 2010 Opens at KL

Shortwave broadcasters should use relevant content to compete with other delivery platforms such as satellite and the Internet, a conference in Kuala Lumpur heard today. The ABU acting Secretary-General, David Astley, said the competition was not only in the method of delivery but in the content provided.
More than 55 broadcasters represented by 115 frequency managers are taking part. The conference runs until 5 February.

FYI, DRM transmissons will be performed from TDF Montsinery (French Montsinery) to Santo Domingo on the occasion of HFCC Conference 18 to 21 August 2009

Mode B
Bandwidth=10 kHz
MSC = 64
QAMCR =0,6
Audio Encoding = AAC+SBR
Power = 150 kW
Audio content = local
Pictures will be transmitted for viewing on a Uniwave receiver
Transmission schedule:
Tuesday 18 to Thursday 20 August 2009: 16.00-18.00 UTC
Friday 21August 2009: 1600-2100 UTC.
