All India radio, Jammu starts DRM transmission on 1000 kHz

 
 
 
 
With effect from 5th Nov'15 Radio Kashmir, Jammu has started simulcast transmission of it's primary service programmes with AM on 990 kHz and DRM on 1000 kHz
 

Radio Kashmir, Jammu also broadcasted a discussion programme "Radio Kashmir, Jammu broadcasts on DRM, what does this means to a Radio Listener? " on Thursday, the 12th of Nov at 7:25 A.M in which DDG(E) Radio Kashmir, Jammu K.K.Singh alongwith Shailesh Raina explained it bit by bit to the listeners in conversation with Nitish Arora.

AIR Kolkata starts Vividh Bharati service on FM 101.8 MHz



The Chief Executive Officer of Prasar Bharati ‪‎Jawahar Sarkar‬ today inaugurated the 10 kW FM transmitter for Vividh Bharati Service at Doordarshan Kendra premises. It is now available on FM 101.8 MHz.It will broadcast programmes of 15 hours 20 minutes on six days and 16 hours 20 minutes on sunday. In an interaction with the media at ‎Akashvani Bhawan‬, the CEO said, Kolkata is the first metro city to start ‪Vividh Bharati‬ service on FM. The service will be available in all four metro cities shortly.

AIR Mangalore gears up for DRM transmissions

Wave of change to hit AIR Mangalore

Ashwani Kumar N K R, Mangalore, Feb 24, 2014, DHNS:

Radio lovers in the nooks and corners of Dakshina Kannada and neighboring districts will no more encounter hisses and buzzes in Akashvani, Mangalore programmes, on Medium Wave. All India Radio, Mangalore, will air its waves in digital mode too, and listeners will be able to receive crystal clear sound even in moving vehicles and remote areas, soon.
