Three more All India Radio stations on shortwave go off air

The latest monitoring observations show that the following  SW stations of All India Radio that were heard very well till yesterday are absent today, 1st January 2022. This tallies with the various media reports that  some old transmitters of  AIR  stations  were being shut down from yesterday.

1. Jeypore (50 kW) 5040  kHz

2. New Delhi (250 kW) 6030, 6100 kHz

3. Srinagar  (50 kW) 4950, 6110 kHz  

Also the Mumbai (50 kW)  Vividh Bharti transmitter on 1188 kHz  is  noted off air recently

Jeypore station struggles to be on 'AIR'

JEYPORE: ALL India Radio, Jeypore is pitiably understaffed and is struggling to maintain its normal day-to-day operations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat', the weekly programme, too has failed to revive the fortunes of the 45-year-old station, one of the leading radio stations in the State.

AIR Observations - 5th Dec

All India Radio - Observations on 05 Dec 2011 ( Monday)

At 2030 IST following AIR stations were carrying running commentary of 3rd One Day International cricket match between India vs West Indies at Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad

4810 - Bhopal missing on this freq, off air ? ( Still missing at 0815 IST on 6th Dec 2011)
4880 - Lucknow
4910 - Jaipur
5010 - T'puram, strong hum in background
5040 - Jeypore missing ( was back on air when I rechecked at 2200 IST)

Also :

4965 Shimla - Strong carrier, no audio. ( Checked at 0815 IST, 6th Dec 2011, audio was back)
