New Akashvani station inaugurated at Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh
Akashvani's Ujjain station was inaugurated on 27th Nov '25, marking the beginning of local programme origination from the holy city bringing voices, culture and stories of Ujjain closer to listeners across the region. This new station was inaugurated by Dr. L Murugan, Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting; and Parliamentary Affairs along with the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav.
The station consists of 5 kW FM transmitter & relays Vividh Bharati service on the frequency of 102.5 MHz
The minister announced following facilities for this new station:
1. 24×7 Broadcasting: The station will soon begin round-the-clock broadcasting, enabling people to enjoy radio services anytime.
2. Programmes created by the people of Malwa will now be available worldwide through the News on Air app, allowing listeners across the globe to experience the region's rich cultural heritage.
3. Daily News Bulletin in Malwi Dialect: Akashvani will broadcast a dedicated news bulletin in the Malwi dialect every day at 7:20 PM. These bulletins will highlight local news, culture, and development.
