Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal has given his approval to draft National Frequency Allocation Plan-2011, which would help in efficient spectrum management and higher mobile penetration in rural areas.
The draft plan now will be scanned by the Group of Ministers within a month and then to the Cabinet for the final approval. The Plan (NFAP 2011) also encourages domestic manufacturing of telecom equipment besides efficient utilization of scared radio waves.
