China Radio International adds temporary shortwave frequency

On September 25, 2025, China Radio International added eight temporary shortwave frequencies to broadcast live the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region to the domestic and international audiences.

The frequencies are as follows (Beijing time):

English Real-time Simultaneous Interpretation (CRI English Information Broadcasting, also known as "CGTN Radio")
10:00-11:00 15110kHz (Kashgar, 100kW)
10:00-12:00 17740kHz (Beijing, 500kW)

Live Mandarin Broadcast (CRI Chinese Global Broadcasting)
10:00-12:00 15140kHz (Beijing, 150kW)
10:00-12:00 17510kHz (Kunming, 500kW)
10:00-12:00 17520kHz (Urumqi, 500kW)
10:00-12:00 17690kHz (Xi'an, 500kW)
10:00-12:00 17700kHz (Urumqi, 500kW)
10:00-12:00 17710kHz (Kashgar, 500kW)
