Special broadcasts by All India Radio for Republic Day 2023
India is celebrating its 74th Republic Day on 26 Jan 2023 (Thursday). All India Radio will broadcast special programs in connection with the Republic Day celebrations as follows:
25th January 2023 (Wednesday) : Eve of Republic Day
1330 UTC (1900 IST) onwards Hon'ble President's address to the nation in Hindi and English. This will be broadcast by all stations of AIR on MW, SW, FM. Shortly after this broadcast, the local stations will broadcast its translations in local languages.

26 January 2023 (Thursday) : Republic Day
All India Radio will broadcast the ive running commentary in english & hindi of Republic Day parade and cultural pageant to be held at India Gate, New Delhi from 0410 UTC (0940 IST) on the following SW frequencies :
Hindi : 9950 kHz (Delhi 100 kW), 11560 (Delhi 100 kW)
External Service in Persian, Arabic, Baluchi, Pashto & Dari languages would stand cancelled.
News bulletins scheduled during the running commentary will stand cancelled.
AIR leh on 4760 kHz will change to its day time frequency 6000 kHz between 0345-0400 UTC (ie much earlier than usual) .
All stations of AIR on MW, FM & 'Akashvani AIR' YouTube Channel will relay the running commentary.
