Special transmission for Ukriane on LW

- On LW 153 kHz, Romania has replaced its program "Antena Satelor" with the news and pop & rock channel "Radio Romania Actualitati".

- On LW 225 kHz, Polish radio started broadcasting a few minutes newspaper in Ukraine twice a day, seven out of seven days, right after the "Jedynka News", at 10:00 and 5:00 p.m. (Ukraine Time= UTC+2)

These two broadcasters want to take advantage of the extraordinary coverage provided by long wave transmitters that cover, from home, the entire territory of Ukraine.

WRMI Resumes Broadcasts of Radio Ukraine

Due to the increased interest in the current situation in Ukraine, WRMI has resumed its relays of the daily English language broadcast of Radio Ukraine International, the official overseas service of Ukrainian Radio. RUI can be heard daily, except Friday, at 1200-1230 UTC on 5010 kHz.

IRRS/NEXUS-IBA increases coverage to Ukraine and Russia

You have undoubtedly heard the latest news about the Russian invasion of Ukraine today. It has almost continuous coverage on Radio and TV in Europe as of this morning, and it makes everyone worried about the consequences for European stability.

Just in case you hear from someone interested in Russia and Ukraine in these difficult moments, you should know that we have increased our power on 1323 kHz, and we can reach these regions with a fantastic signal also on AM/Medium Wave.

We increased our special news coverage, adding repeats of the most informative and inspirational programs in English from 7 PM to 11 PM Central European Time to support displaced people and cover the latest events.

Saudi Broadcasting Authority launches news radio station - Al Ekhbariya Radio

Saudi Broadcasting Authority has launched the first news radio station in Saudi Arabia on February 13 to coincide with World Radio Day. The station will be the radio branch of the state TV Al-Ekhbariya channel, and the move aims to help the SBA focus on local content and move toward specialisation.

Al-Ekhbariya Radio will initially broadcast via the FM wave in Riyadh on 93.0 MHz, Jeddah on 107.7 MHz and Dammam on 99.0 MHz.
