Germany's international broadcaster makes it easier to access its audio and video podcasts. Deutsche Welle's podcast channel has been given a new interface on iTunes, the world's largest directory of podcasts. This new channel will be cleaner with improved navigation, making it easier than ever to access its audio and video podcasts.Instead of only being able to access a list of all audio or all video podcasts, users can now define parameters - like different categories or programming language - thereby simplifying the search function."We have worked with Apple to align the new Deutsche Welle channel more directly with the selection criteria used across the iTunes Store," says Holger Hank, Head of New Media at Deutsche Welle. "This will make it easier for iTunes users to navigate."Deutsche Welle is one of the largest providers of podcasts worldwide and offers more than 300 podcast feeds on its channel. All of its radio and television series that can be accessed and distributed online have been made available on iTunes.Deutsche Welle distributes multimedia and multilingual information from Germany to the rest of the world. DW-TV, DW-RADIO and the online portal DW-WORLD.DE provide the latest news and background information in 30 languages. With modern forms of media like podcasting, live-streaming, newsletters, mobile offers and RSS services, Deutsche Welle is especially important for those with an interest in Germany and Europe.
