Reaching out to Bihar's poorest, via radio

PATNA: Come July, special radio programmes will be aired in Bihar for Mahadalits, the poorest of the poor in the state, to educate them about the importance of literacy, sanitation and kicking bad habits like consuming alcohol and tobacco.

More community radio stations in Bangladesh

By October 2011, there will be 14 Community Radio stations in Bangladesh. At present there of them have started test transmission and 11 will be on air by September 2011. News said that all the stations have installed their studios and waiting for Government's green signal to go on air.

BAU launches kisan radio station

Kisan Radio Station, which is being launched by the Bihar Agriculture University (BAU), Sabour (Bhagalpur) in the district soon. Farmers coming within the aerial distance of 20-kilometers would initially be visited, once the Kisan Radio Station (KRS) goes on air.

Bihar CM inaugurates 2 new community radio stations for farmers

PATNA: CM Nitish Kumar on Tuesday inaugurated the transmission of two community radio stations for the farmers which have been set up at Barh in Patna and Birauli in Samastipur. He advised the farmers to listen to the two-hour programmes on radio every day which will give them important tips about the farming.
