First among the IITs, Kanpur gets its own community radio

Kautilya Singh Posted: Saturday , Mar 27, 2010 at 0156 hrs Kanpur: Celebrating its golden jubilee year, Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur (IIT-K) became the first IIT of the country to have its own campus community radio station. Director of IIT-K, Sanjay Govind Dhande, inaugurated the campus community radio station on Friday. The IIT-K community radio channel at 90.4 MHZ has been given a two-hour broadcast time in the morning and two hours in the evening.
